Regarding Cucumber Tomato Salad from Trolley Stop Market:
Fresh and crisp, thick sliced cukes. No tomato the day I got it. Very good and not too vinegary. reply

Bliss. A bit heavy on the mayo, but cheese and bacon make it all okay. Huge sandwich that is just as good on day two. reply

Regarding Thai Steak Salad from Beauty Shop:
Salad was ok. Tomato was very fresh and flavorful, as were the other veggies. The peppers were more regular bell rather than sweet peppers though, and I though the raw onions were a bit overpowering. Steak tasted overcharred. Was told it was braised to medium well, but it was more grilled to well done. Overall, eh. Will try something else next time. reply

A very good take on an old favorite. The cornmeal breading was excellent and I really enjoyed the black bean corn relish on the side. reply
Regarding Portobello Mushroom Panini from Fresh Slices Sidewalk Cafe and Deli:
This was a great sandwich. Zesty flavor, tasty bread and the mushroom was not soggy. I substituted french fries for the creamed spinach and the fries were hot and fresh. Even the pickle was good: big and crunchy! Very nice meal. reply

What really enhances this sandwich is the roasted red & yellow peppers. Reminds me of a Chicago style Italian beef sandwich. reply
